We got our fish and chips fix in London, so now it was time to try some bangers and mash (aka sausages and mash). At the end of our three-hour walking tour around the city, we were famished and needed a bite to eat. Our guide recommended The Old Monk Exchange, a nice English pub with a great atmosphere and even greater food and drinks.
We ordered the sausages and mash, which came piping hot. Mash refers to mashed potatoes, and it was drowned in really rich gravy. The sausages were delicious and worked really well with the potatoes. Paired that with an English beer, Doom Bar, and it was a lunch fit for the kings!
